Are you looking for inspiration for 2017? Did 2016 end with unanswered prayers, and dreams that did not come to be? One Inspired Word is for the hopeful, the dreamers and the people who want to see change this year. A new year is a new beginning, a blank page full of possibilities. With intention we can leap into the new year and pursue God’s calling in our lives. The dreams we still hold on to, the change we want to happen.

In 2011 I picked my very first one word –  and instantly fell in love with the idea. This space is my love letter to the concept. I named it One Inspired Word because I believe God directs and speaks to us. The concept is simple select one word as your focus for the year. Some people do this in lieu of goals but I do a combo. I love the idea because of its simplicity. It really becomes my filter for the year.

Create one inspired wordThis year Create is my word. In reflecting on the past year I feel like I didn’t focus on creating the life I desire or the tugging I feel God places in my heart. I say I want to do ______, but then stay at home or read a book. Like dating, I say I want to date and marry but you would never know it by my actions. My friend Lori said ” you say it is important, but what are you doing about it?” Our daily choices say what is really important to us. I want to go deeper and intentionally pursue the things I feel God has placed on my heart. One of them is to encourage others to select a word and bring it to life.

Life is always more fun lived out together. There is accountability in stating our intentions and doing it with a group. So I created the One Inspired Word tribe to help us all stay on track. I want to connect with others who are looking to embrace their word and what God has for us this year. Each month you will receive an email with:

  • Journal prompts
  • Prayer prompts
  • Action ideas for keeping your word alive in  your live
  • Optional creative ideas with DIY and videos

These emails are designed to encourage you to stay on track and to end the year having fully lived out your One Inspired Word.

It is going to be simple and creative. We are going to have fun exploring our word and discovering how to use it as a filter for our everyday decisions this year.

I have created a free worksheet to help you select your One Inspired Word. You can download it and be ready to go for the first prompts you will receive Jan 1, 2017.
